Christmas Staging
Stage design is one of my favorite tasks I do for my job at SBTS. This month we had our Christmas Concert with Shane and Shane. One key in stage design is to know the style of music your band is going to be playing. You don’t want to do create a design that clashes with the music that will be played. Sometimes, this is challenging, but for S&S we decided to keep it as simple as possible.
So, I did what you should do and go to http://www.churchstagedesignideas.com to get some ideas. I found these reclaimed wood trees that our team thought we could incorporate. Also, in our first staging meeting the idea of “uplighting the back walls” was discussed, something we agreed would be a great idea.
Also, what is Christmas without a fireplace? Nothing. The amazing Robert Smith learned how to make one. It turned out beautiful.
Finally, Shane and Shane were great artists to work with. They are a great team of guys who want to serve people pointing them to the satisfaction only found in Christ. “For He alone is worthy, Christ the Lord!”
