A Project in Honor of my Father
Dear Family and Friends,
Today marks nine years since my father passed away from cancer. As the years continue on, there is a growing sense that I did not really know my father. That is, I knew him as a father, but not as a friend or brother in Christ. If it was possible I would give much for a two hour coffee conversation.
I’ve realized over the past few months that I do desire to know my father more deeply, however I must do this by the people who were around him. People like you.
Therefore, I am excited to announce a project that I will be working on over the next year entitled The Tim Griswold Project. This project has two parts:
- First, I will be collecting information on my father from family and friends to compile into a short biography. A testimony to my friends, family and future children about his life and legacy.
- Secondly, will be writing a book about the experience of losing my father tentatively titled The Mourning Soul. I pray that it would be an encouragement to those who are grieving.
BUT I need your help! Many of you knew my father. Some knew him in childhood, as a teenager, in the military, as a co-worker, friend, husband and father. I want your stories! I have opened up a few ways that you can share about your experiences with my father (click here to see the ways to share). Thank you in advance for your participation. Also, I encourage you to tell people you know about the project. This will be very helpful for this project.
For more information visit advancethegospel.org. (Oh yeah, I started a ministry as well… but more on that later). Thank you in advance for your participation please let me know if you have any questions!
